Dammuso Agave
Noto - Noto (Sicily)
Dammuso Agave is located on top of a hill, surrounded by three hectares of land covered with Mediterranean plants and vegetation. It is only 5 km from the beaches of Calamosca, Eloro, Vendicari and Marina di Noto.
The Dammuso, which has been recently renovated and supplied with air conditioning, used to be a Medieval watchtower. The apartment (50 square meters ) also includes a large balcony (100 square meters).
On the first floor, there is a living room with a cooking area, two sofas (one of them is a double sofa bed) and hi-fi.
The sleeping area is situated in a sleeping loft which can be reached from the panoramic stone balcony, furnished with garden table, chairs etc.
The outdoor area is protected by a bower and includes a barbecue and a shower.
The Dammuso offers a beautiful view of Noto and of the eastern coastline as far as Capo Passero. It is ideal for travelers who love peace and nature. |

Noto, a small town 30 km. from Siracusa, has been under protection of UNESCO World Heritage since 2002. In 1693 it was marked by a natural disaster which hit the whole island: a terrible earthquake destroyed the old Noto. Later, the town was completely rebuilt and nowadays it is so beautiful that it looks like the splendid scene of a theatre.
At the time of the reconstruction, the inhabitants chose a wide site; a linear, simple town planning scheme was designed and carried out. The plan presented three main roads, running from east to west in order to benefit from sunlight during the day. The first main road, which is also the highest one, was for the nobles, the second for the clergy and the third for the lower classes. |
